Adkins Tribute To Cherries

Saints manager, Neil Adkins, is full of praise for what's going on at Dean Court given the upheaval and changes in management staff in recent months.

Speaking ahead of the clash at Dean Court, Adkins is quoted as saying in the Bournemouth Evening Echo: "Great credit to Bournemouth for what they have done. The chairman there has done very well. It’s akin to my old club Scunthorpe where he has been able to promote young managers and give them the opportunity to do well. He has done that with Eddie Howe and he has gone on and done ever so well and now the chairman has done the same with Lee Bradbury – he has been promoted from within and is doing very well. I’m a big Liverpool supporter and that’s why they were so successful – they had that boot room philosophy. The staff were always promoted from within and that was one of the big reasons why they were very, very successful. The culture was right at the football club and they kept that stability going. If you have a successful formula you have to turn around and say ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’".
