Speaking after the match, manager Sean O'Driscoll was a happy man saying that: "We were down to the bare bones, but we came with a game plan, and even when we went in 1-0 down at half-time I felt it was working. We asked them to be brave when they had the ball, and to take their chances when they came. The first goal (an own goal) was a bit fortuitous, but it gave them confidence and we dug in at the death".

Speaking on the Clubs Official Web Site, Marcus Browning (who was starting his 500th match) is quoted as saying: "We always knew it was going to be tight, they had a lot of the play, but we were never that threatened. We've had them watched and they've been playing very well lately. We played some great stuff. We kept the ball on the floor and at times they couldn't get near us. It's a great landmark for me and I just want to keep playing as much as I can. It was also nice to be captain and on the winning side. It was a great team performance. Everyone has done their job and what a place to come and pick up three points".
