A free transfer on dead line day, Davids is enjoying his stint in England, despite not having played given his knee injury.
The Dutchman is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "This is a new adventure for me. It is a dream come true to join a club in England. The ambition of this club was a really big thing for me. It was difficult for me because I felt I needed to be fit before I came here. My agent told me Bournemouth were interested so I went on the Internet to research the club and the town. He said I needed to see it with my own eyes and, as soon as I had, I wanted to come here. There is good competition for places and it is better to have a few players battling for one position because that makes the team and players better. I watched the game a couple of weeks ago and there are a couple of things we have to change. We have to cut out the mistakes. But the team is getting better every week and, at the end of the season, hopefully we can celebrate. We need to score more goals. If you score one more goal than your opponent, you are always going to win!"
