Loan Signing As Defensive Cover

With Neil Young and Karl Broadhurst both out following hernia operations, manager Sean O'Driscoll has arranged defensive cover through the loan signing of James O'Connor for the next month. There is also doubt as to the fitness of Stephen Purches ahead of the weekend trip to Barnsley.

Irishman O'Connor (20) signs from Villa for a month at Dean Court. So far this season O'Connor has only made it as far as their reserve side. This is his second spell on loan this season having already served a month on loan at Port Vale.
