Three players sign

The first to sign this week was Garreth O'Connor, who signed a deal to keep him at Dean Court for another year. They key to his signature was promotion back to Division 2, which meant that a big money move to Carlisle was pushed out of the window. Speaking in the Bournemouth Echo, Garreth said; "I have always said I want to play at the highest level possible and winning promotion tipped the balance for me.

"Roddy Collins (the Carlisle manager) told me to speak to him before I signed anything at Bournemouth, but, in the end, I didn't need to and once I knew we were going up, the Carlisle deal went out of the window."

In addition, Shaun Maher has also signed a deal to keep him at Dean Court.

But the best news was saved when it was announced that Carl Fletcher had signed an extension to his current contract, which wasn't due to expire for another 12 months. The 2-goal hero from the Play-Off Final has signed a deal to keep him at Dean Court until June 2005. This deal was made possible through PlayerShare, which is the fans scheme to fund future transfers, and existing signings.
