The membership fees for 2002/2003 will remain at £12.00 for UK members and £19.00 for overseas members. This is the fourth season for which we have been able to maintain this rate.

The membership for 2001/2002 was 196 ordinary members and 67 family members. This includes 25 new/rejoined members and 16 new/rejoined family members whilst 28 full and 22 family members did not renew their membership.
Our financial position at the time of the meeting was that we had assets of £1560.00. With an issue of Exiled! to be published before next season this means that we will carry forward about £900.00. As usual a way of passing surplus funds to the football club will be found either by sponsorship, donation or the like.

The editors of Exiled! will be either Andy Burton or Richard Barker. Each edition of Exiled! will contain details of the next editor and the deadline date for articles, match reports and other items for inclusion in the next edition. Sales of Exiled! through the Club Shop continue to be good with all 10 copies provided to them always being sold.

The Committee will again investigate publishing Exiled! over the internet but copyright problems my preclude this. In this respect it is the intention to reduce the membership fee to those who request receipt of exiled! over the internet should this prove possible.

Merchandise sales were around £500.00 for the year with minimal outlay for new stock. The value of stock held is £1000.00 and this includes a new design of badge.

A suggestion for a method of the club passing surplus funds to the football club was that we donate a sum in return for a number of season tickets for the general use of members who can only attend the Fitness First occasionally and who would like to sit with other exiles. These would be made available for each match to the first exile putting in a request. The success of such tickets would allow us to pass further funds to the football club. Our Chairman will contact the football club with this proposal and full details published in Exile! as soon as possible.

Peter Philips has contacted the Exiles Club regarding our participation in the Player Share scheme. This was discussed by the meeting but it was not felt appropriate for us to put any funds into the scheme particularly as the minimum investment is £1000.00.

A discussion was held regarding the sale and lease back of the Fitness First. It was felt that more information and details were required for the club to make a decision over its opinion of the proposal. There was general suspicion for the motives of the instigators of this proposal. If it is such a good idea why is it not possible to obtain a loan or the like from a bank on a similar basis.

The following attended the AGM; Andy Burton, Ellis Griffin, Clive Loader, Roy Garner, Peter Wicks, Richard Barker, Phil Henstridge, Phil Nesbitt, Rob Mann, Pam Smith, Peter Allen, Robin Stieber and in a non voting capacity Jerry Revell.
These are an abridged version of the minutes of the meeting. A full copy can be obtained from the Secretary upon request.
