Pie and a Pint

The Exiles pride themselves on their ability to get as many people to games as possible and to choose the best pubs for a bite to eat and the odd pint or three when we get there. Listed below are the forthcoming away matches and the nominated pubs to meet in.

If you want any help getting there, please contact Phil Nesbitt for more information.

These are the suggested meeting pubs for the forthcoming away games. At least a few Exiles are likely to be at the pubs listed below. If you can't find us then a call to 07798 810386 will probably track some of us down.

Notts County 30/03/02
Olde Trip to Jerusalem, 1 Brewhouse Yard, Castle Rock. Famous old pub built into the walls of Nottingham Castle (allegedly dating back to 1189). Kimberley beers and good value bar meals. Travelling on the 1055 from London St Pancras.

Port Vale 06/04/02
Packhorse Inn, 8 Station St, Longport. Near to Longport station which is the nearest rail station to Vale Park (but still over a mile away). Canalside pub with good selection of real ales and excellent value meals. No cheap travel offered by Virgin West Coast (out of London Euston) at weekends. But a group will be travelling.

Wrexham 20/04/02 EXILES WEEKEND AWAY
Turf Hotel Crispin Lane. Marstons beers and food served. Literally right next to the Racecourse Ground and opposite Wrexham station. Because of its location it gets very busy on match days so get there early if possible. No organised travel for this match leaving on Saturday morning. For details of the weekend away, staying in Chester, please contact Phil Nesbitt (hotels working out to be approx £40 per night per person).
