A Keeper - A Priority

With Neil Moss sidelined through injury, and Gareth Stewart released by AFC Bournemouth, manager Kevin Bond had hoped to sign David Forde on a permanent basis.

It is now looking likely that Forde is going to sign for League One Millwall.

In a quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Bond is quoted as saying: "I am very mindful of the situation and will endeavour to do everything I can to address it. It is definitely a priority. I want to bring in a goalkeeper and would like that goalkeeper to have been Fordey. But it looks like he's going to Millwall so we'll have to see where we can go for a goalkeeper. It would be a very pleasant surprise if Mossy were able to pull on his gloves for the start of the season but I think that would be an optimistic view. As much as I would like him to be ready, the healing process takes such a long time and he has got to rest until it is 100 per cent right".
