Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo after the match, manager Eddie Howe is quoted as saying: "It was a mixed performance. The game didn't really get going in the first half and I didn't think either side played particularly well. We came out of the traps really quickly at the start of the second half and got the all-important goal. We were clinging on a little bit at the end. But the attitude and resolve of the boys was fantastic and I thought we defended resolutely. I am just so pleased for them because they've got what they deserved. Three wins out of three has come from sheer hard work and a great attitude so I take off my hat to all of them".
