Aldershot Town Reaction - Shots

Speaking after the match, Shots manager Gary Waddock was quoted as saying: "That was simply a thoroughly disappointing evening. It was a poor performance. There was also the injury to Nikki Bull who has a hamstring problem, but to what extent we are not yet sure. We had no excuse with the conditions. Bournemouth faced the same difficulties but they adapted far better and had us on the back foot. It was not a good night all round. We will have to see how we approach the Bradford City match now. I told the the players before the match that despite beating Accrington on Saturday, they were playing for their shirts. None of them can have any complaints with regard to the team that I pick for Saturday. Bournemouth may have had a lot to play for but we have a lot to play for as well and we have to make sure we compete. We turned the difficult period around on Saturday but one game is not good enough. You have to back that up and be more consistent. It's quite simple — you cannot just turn it on when you want. We have to be solid and give ourselves a base to work from and give ourselves a chance in games. We have played in a number of away matches this season, done well but got nothing out of the match. That wasn't the case against Bournemouth".
