Another Bidder For The Club?

After it was revealed that Adam Murry had missed the deadline to secure a deal to buy Paul Bakers 50% share in AFC Bournemouth, it would now appear that there is someone else bidding to buy the Cherries - identity unknown. Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Baker is quoted as saying: "Today was the day we were expecting proof of funds from Alan Pither but, as yet, we haven't seen them. If he doesn't, we will have to move on to Plan B".

Of the Murry consortium, Baker is quoted as saying: "Adam is trying to raise money in very diffiuclt circumstances and I've got a lot of time for him. His plans for the club are first rate. If he can get the money together, then who knows".

Murry himself is quoted as saying: "I've been in meetings for the past two weeks and am trying to structure the right deal for the club to take it forward. I'm not interested in any other ulterior deals, I just want to secure the club for the future and I'm still working very hard to achieve that. I would only move forward if it were to the benefit and stability of the club. Paul knows I am actively working hard to secure a good deal and has been very co-operative. If another deal comes to the table that is equally as good or better, then that would be fine. All I want is for the club to prosper".
