Paul Baker, in an interview with the Bournemouth Evening Echo, has indicated that the sale of AFC Bournemouth could be moving forward in the next few days as one bidder is keen to press forward.

Baker is quoted as saying: "The first bid has come back and is keen to press on with it as soon as possible but I'm going to take the next few days to see what comes across the table. We have a number of meetings scheduled for towards the end of the week so we'll see where we are this time next week. We're saying to people that the club needs to be sold in the shortest time possible. The sooner we can conclude a deal, the more of the close season the new owners will have to stamp their own mark on the club. We haven't released any season tickets because we would expect them to have an influence on the price. I'm sure they will have their own views on lots of things including commercial activities. Everybody understands the urgency and wants this done as quickly as possible. Nobody sees any benefit in dragging it out any longer than it needs to be".
