Barnsley Reaction

Following our surprise win away to Barnsley on Saturday, here is the reaction to the win.

Marcus Browning was full of praise for debutant James O'Connor. He is quoted on BBCi as saying: "He had a great debut. He did ever so well at right-back, and then he's slotted in at centre-half for the last 40 minutes. It looks like he's going to be a good signing. We felt we'd done well in most of our away games but given away silly goals, but we've ground out a result here".

The Barnsley manager (Paul Hart), clearly disappointed at loosing to Bournemouth is quoted on BBCi as saying: "We weren't bad in the first half, but we were poor after the break. Having said that, we did not create enough going forward - Michael Boulding had two good chances from which he probably should have scored. The goal was a sucker punch, but we had told them all about Bournemouth's quick free-kicks".
