Following an operation on a groin problem, Marvin Bartley is on the road to recovery ready for pre-season training in July.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Bartley is quoted as saying: "I started having a few problems about six or seven weeks before the end of the season. I was getting pains in my groin on the left-hand side and my running and kicking were restricted. I played through it for a while before Steve Hard sent me to the doctor. He tested me and confirmed it was a hernia. I then went to see a specialist in Manchester and he said he would operate a few days after the season had ended. I had it done a couple of weeks ago and it feels fine. I was okay in games but just had to manage it in training. When I felt it, I just had to stop. Sometimes, I would feel it in matches but the adrenaline got me through. I’m on the way back now and will be ready for the start of pre-season".
