Bartley Wants New Deal

Since returning from injury, Marvin Bartley has more than earned his recent run in the side, and is hoping to earn a new contract as a result. Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Bartley is quoted as saying: "Hopefully, if I can keep my place and keep performing on the pitch then something will be sorted sooner rather than later. I would love to stay. We’ve got a good bunch of lads and Eddie and Jason are brilliant as well. Hopefully, it will take care of itself. I’ve had to be patient because the boys have been doing so well. I think I’ve done myself justice so, hopefully, I will stay in the team. You need to give 100 per cent in every game to keep the shirt. Although Eddie tells us there is no pressure when we play, there is an element of pressure because we have got such a good squad and competition for places is fierce, especially in central midfield".
