Bartley's Up For It

With the rough and tumble of League Two to look forward to, Marvin Bartley has been in training for the new season for a month with a tough physical regime.

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Bartley is quoted as saying: "I've enjoyed the break but I'm getting bored and miss football, so I can't wait to get back stuck in. I was sent a schedule by Steve Hard (physio) and I've been keeping to that, which started on June 1. I'm just getting prepared and feel in good shape, but you never really know until you test yourself against the other boys. There will probably be more all-action midfielders but I plan to come out on top. I've been in the gym a bit and had a weights programme. I've put on a bit of weight and feel a lot physically stronger. In any division, if you're physically stronger than the person you're against, half the battle is won, and even more so in League Two".
