It will not have gone un noticed that Steve Cook and Lewis Grabban have had a fantastic season for AFC Bournemouth, putting in many superb performances throughout the campaign.
Now attention turns to keeping hold of the nucleus of a squad that has proved more than capable in the Championship as further honours are sought next time round.
Grabban, linked with Brighton & Hove Albion back in the January transfer window has already been linked with a multi-million deal with Crystal Palace. Similarly Steve Cook could well be the target for some larger clubs over the Summer.
Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, manager Eddie Howe is quoted as saying: "I think it is a compliment, without a doubt. But it is also a concern because you don’t want to lose any of your best players. I have no doubt people will be looking at our players because they have all performed very well. By and large, we still have a very young squad so I think it is a possibility we might get bids and we would have to take every one on merit if they were to come in. It is not really my call, it is for the people above me to make that call. But I certainly don’t want to sell and I know everybody else will be thinking the same. We want to keep the squad together and add quality to it. That is the aim".
