Speaking ahead of the new Premiership season, manager Eddie Howe reckons that he has assembled the best squad to put on a Cherries shirt.
The Cherries boss is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I am delighted because I think, individually, they all add something different. They make us better and stronger, which we certainly needed going into the league we are going into. We have improved the physicality and pace. I am excited with this squad and think it is the best AFC Bournemouth one I have ever seen, which it had to be. Certainly, we look in good shape now. That is probably the end in the immediacy but whether it is the end before the window closes, I don’t know. I am certainly a lot happier after yesterday’s business. We’ve got really good strength in depth and that is something we needed considering we can’t loan players once the window has shut. We are going to need everybody to play their part and I think we now have a squad where everyone is strong enough to come in and play".
