Blackpool Reaction

Speaking to BBC Radio Solent after the match, Sean O'Driscoll was quoted as saying: "We didn't deserve anything and we didn't get anything .... Port Vale away was the first time we'd been complacent for a long time, but I didn't think we'd get another complacent performance so quickly. The whole night was flat - there was no atmosphere, and for a team fighting for a play-off place to get a crowd of just over 5,000 was disappointing".

Colin Hendry, Blackpool's manager, was clearly delighted with the win, being quoted as saying on BBCi: "It was one of the better performances of the season - if not the finest .... we did everything as well as we could, and even managed to cope when they put three subs on and went 'gung-ho' for 30 minutes in the second half .... We looked a good side tonight, as we were resilient and well-organised. I won't pick out any individuals as it was a team performance .... Bournemouth are a team who I would have thought could perform week in, week out at the next level up - you've got to cope with their quality and pace, but we've won the game convincingly".
