Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, the Blyth manager, Harry Dunn, was quoted as saying: "Every one of my players was fantastic. When they put the pressure on, we blocked shots, we headed them and kicked them out and you couldn't have asked for any more from the players. I thought we played very well in the first half and we knew it would be very difficult in the second half because I knew Jimmy would put a rocket up them. They put us under an awful lot of pressure but the lads stood up tremendously well. It's days like this you live for in football".
