Bond On Kuffour

Kevin Bond is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "He's not dissimilar to Mark Stein and I would hope that in a few years' time and when a young striker comes along, people will be saying 'he reminds me of Jo Kuffour'. I'm sure Jo will want to make his own mark and in his own right and perhaps not be likened to anybody else, as we all do".

Bond went on to add: "It was a big decision for Jo. We spoke on numerous occasions about that and I understand that it's a big career move for him and it needed to be right for both him and us. It was easier for us because I had made up my mind a while ago that if I could get Jo, I would take him. I'm really pleased to have him. He caused us enough problems when he played against us last season and I made a mental note of that. He's got good attitude, which I think is vitally important".
