Bond Praises Team Effort

Manager Kevin Bond, speaking on the Clubs Official Web Site, praises the team spirit at Dean Court having been forced to blood youth teamers and play established players out of position in recent games.

He is quoted as saying: "The lads have done well at home and they did unbelievably well on Monday against a very strong Tranmere side. We've put in some much better performances at home in the last couple of months from really struggling to find points. Millwall are nowhere near where they'd expect to be and they haven't really been able to haul themselves out of difficulty. It's always a big transitional period when a new Manager comes in and Kenny will be gearing his side towards achieving much more next season. Joe Roach and the people around him have done a fantastic job. Where would we be without the likes of Vokesey, Brett Pitman and the lads who came in last week? Every one of them has played their part and has progressed to the stage where they deserve this chance. The so called better players get cherry picked by the likes of Southampton because they have the better facilities. But the work that goes into our boys in their football and their education is no better anywhere else than what they get under Joe".
