Bookies Favourite To Go Down

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, local book maker Jake Whittaker is quoted as saying: "The first thing most bookmakers will look at in the lower leagues is home form and, over the past few seasons, Bournemouth have seen a steady decline in theirs. In fact, since they rejoined League One in 2003, they have failed every season to win at least half of their home games. Even when they almost made the play-offs in 2005, winning 11 away games put them in that position and they failed after gaining just two points from their last seven home games. The past two seasons give a much clearer picture, including this season. Bournemouth have now won just 17 of their past 51 home league games, which is a very poor record indeed".
