Boston United ON

The FA have confirmed that Boston United can take their place in the Football League for the 2002/03 season, despite the serious allegations of contractual irregularities, and the suspension of their manager.

But they have been fined £100,000 and have had a four point penalty imposed upon them. So they start the season with -4 points.

It also means that our opening game of the season goes ahead as planned.

One consolation of their point penalty is that we are guaranteed of not being bottom of the Third Division after the first round of games on August 10th.

Boston United recorded a 0-2 win over Ryman's Premier League side Billericay. David Town scored their first goal on 65 minutes.
