Bradbury Still Determined

With Lee Bradbury being kept on the sidelines with the inclusion of Stephen Purches and more recently Adam Smith, he's keen to regain his starting place in the Cherries line up.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Bradbury is quoted as saying: "The strength in depth is a lot different to last season. It’s a great dilemma for the manager but also a difficult one when everybody is fit. It’s good for the players with the shirts to know they are being pushed because it keeps you on top of your game and we are seeing the benefits of that all over the pitch. For me, personally, it has been a bit up and down this season. I started the first game at Charlton and then Purchy came in. He got injured and I came back and then I got injured and Adam came in. He has done a great job. He’s an attack-minded full-back and gives us a different option. To be honest, I think I’ve got more hunger now than when I was younger because you realise how precious the games are and how precious time is. I want to play as many games as I can, whether I’ve got one, two or five years left. Some 19 and 20-year-olds think they have got forever but it flies by and I realise that now. I want to go out in every game and not let myself down. I want to perform to the best of my ability and, hopefully, that will be good enough to keep me in the team".
