In a game when AFC Bournemouth won the match in the opening 20 minutes or so through strikes from Karl Broadhurst and Alan Connell, Sean O'Driscoll admitted on the Clubs Official Web Site that: "We won the game in the first twenty minutes and then lost the plot a little bit. They showed what a good side they are and in the second half I thought we were really professional. The way you like to play sometimes isn't the way you have to play. In the second half, without playing the football we like to play, I thought we controlled it and limited their chances".

On the ankle injuires sustained by Eddie Howe and Brian Stock, Sean O'Driscoll is quoted on BBCi as saying: "They both went over on their ankles but we'll have to see how they are .... Eddie was walking on his in the changing room, but you can't tell with things like this - and we've got another game on Friday. But Shaun Maher and Marcus Browning came on and were excellent".

For Bradford City, their manager, Colin Todd is quoted on BBCi as saying: "The game was lost in the first 20 minutes as the scoreline suggests, as I don't think we defended well .... we had a few half-chances, but at half-time I said 'This scoreline musn't get any worse than 2-0', and in the second half I was very pleased. We had an inexperienced strike force, but I'm not blaming anybody in the side as we showed tremendous steel".
