Speaking after the match, assistant boss Rob Newman, was quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "We're in a rut at the moment. I thought we were on top for the first 45 minutes and although it was a good performance, again we didn't score while we were on top. It was all positive at half-time, but, within 20 seconds of the restart, we went 1-0 down. You can't explain it. It's nothing to do with training or coaching, it's to do with players getting themselves right when they go back on the pitch. The manner in which we conceded the first goal was disgraceful. It shouldn't happen. It reflects on us as coaches but players have got to take responsibility and, for whatever reason, they didn't. The second goal summed it up as well. From a position where you didn't think they could cause us any problems, he (Nicky Forster) wriggled free and (Savage) bundled it over the line. It was very disappointing. You can bawl at them and throw tea cups and we're all shattered at the moment. We're in a fight, we know that".
