Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Lallana is quoted as saying on seeing the Cherries at Wembley in 1998 and his loan move: "I was only nine but it was a brilliant day out. I went with my dad and a couple of friends and we had a great time. I would love to repeat it this season and it would be great to play a part in helping Bournemouth reach Wembley ...... All the lads worked really hard tonight. We were disappointed not to be leading at half-time but Jo scored a great goal just after the break. Everybody did well but Shaun Cooper and Marc Wilson were both as solid as a rock at the back. We defended and attacked as a team and it was a good win with a clean sheet as well".
