Manager Kevin Bond was quoted as saying in the Bournemouth Evening Echo: "It was edge-of-the-seat stuff and we were hanging on for our lives at the end. You're bound to have a few difficult moments but we hung on and it keeps us in there fighting. They put us under enormous pressure and caused us problems. You're going to have scary moments and if you're going to go up or stay up then you need to survive them and thankfully we did. A month ago, I didn't think we would be at the stage where we would still have a chance to stay up with three games to play. I know we haven't achieved anything but it's great credit to the players that they have stuck in there in the face of adversity. They have pulled out some terrific performances and some excellent results so we are glad to be in with a shout".
