For AFC Bournemouth, Sean O'Driscoll is quoted on BBCi as saying: "We're already three games behind on some teams in our league .... it feels like we were in the Cup for a long time but the focus has been on the league since the Burnley game ended. Things aren't running for us in the box, but we've been creating chances and giving teams problems, so we've just got to stick with it".

Sean is also quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "The first goal was always going to be crucial and once they got it, we knew they would be a hard nut to crack. They don't score many, but they don't give many away. They got it and it was up to us to take the game by the scruff of the neck and try to force a replay or a win".

For Burnley, their manager, Steve Cotterill was quoted on TV as saying that: "The better team lost. They dominated the ball and were excellent. We were second best in a no-win situation. They deserve a massive amount of credit".
