Button Dropped - Jalal Recalled

Since he's arrived on loan at Dean Court from White Hart Lane, David Button has not done himself too many favours having been credited with errors that lead to key goals against the Cherries. As a result, manager Eddie Howe has recalled Shwan Jalal to the starting eleven to face Shrewsbury Town at Dean Court this Saturday.

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Howe is quoted as saying: "I've been very impressed with Shwan's attitude recently and have absolutely no hesitation in bringing him back. I brought in David because I needed some competition for places and he is a very good young goalkeeper. I know he has made a couple of mistakes, but everything else about his game is excellent and he is destined for a big future. Goalkeeping errors are always accentuated because they often cost you and that is a harsh reality of their position. Outfield players tend to get away with more because their mistakes don't get highlighted anywhere near as much. Although David rightly takes the criticism for his mistakes at Lincoln, both incidents could have been avoided if outfield players had made different choices. I am sure David will come back stronger for his experience and I want him to keep the pressure on Shwan now".
