Calls For Long Term Deal For Eddie

Ex-Cherry, John Bailey, is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo about the need to sign Eddie Howe up to a long term deal to keep him in the managers hot seat at Dean Court.

Bailey is quoted as saying: "He's done a fantastic job and, if we stay up, they've got to give him a five or 10-year contract. Saturday is the biggest game in the club's history and if Eddie keeps them up it will be better than the Great Escape season. People may think I'm being biased, but I think if Fletch hadn't joined they'd have been doomed. Eddie knew if Fletch could get everyone firing and just have that presence about him, it would get everyone going. I thought they were down when I saw them against Luton, but against Rochdale it was brilliant and really good. "I've been speaking to Fletch and he says the team have been playing well".
