Cargill Contract Extension

Defender Baily Cargill has signed a fourth contract extension in the past two years, which will keep the 20-year-old at Dean Court until at least the 2017/18 season.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo on the deal, Cargill is quoted as saying: "I had two years left to run on my previous deal but now the club have given me another year and that makes me feel special. Obviously, they think highly of me and I really appreciate them showing that faith. I feel I need to repay the club for showing so much faith and giving me rewards through the contracts they have offered. My career is in my own hands. Everything has been laid out on the table for me to go and deliver. I was over the moon to find out that the club was going to offer me a new deal. It came as a surprise and it was a no-brainer to sign as soon as possible. I think it’s nice that they have rewarded me for doing well and this deal gives me the security of knowing that I’m going to be vying for a place at the club for the next few years. It gives me extra breathing space to make sure that I can work on my game and don’t have to worry about things off the field".
