The last time the two clubs met in the League Cup was back in theb 95/96 season when Watford knocked Bournemouth out after a penalty shoot out. Marcus Oldbury scored a fantastic strike to level the game 1-1 at Dean Court. In League matches, the two clubs have met on a total of 94 times, most of which taking place in the lower leagues before Watford established themselves as a Premiership/First Division Club.
The game is due to take place during the week commencing August 11th (probably will be played on August 12th).
