Carling Cup Reaction

Speaking on BBCi, this is what a delighted Sean O'Driscoll had to say about the match: "We came to play a certain way and knew we'd have to chase the ball because they're a Premiership team,we knew we'd be under the cosh and had to ride our luck but it was only in injury time we thought we might win. Garreth O'Connor's goal gave us belief because going a goal down early you get visions of being beaten six or seven". Adding that his team showed "a lot of composure and intelligence" when they got the ball, looked forward to a long cup run.

Meanwhile Mark Hughes was less impressed!! "We should have seen that game out. We conceded three goals which, given our chances, is disappointing. Our performance wasn't good enough ..... Bournemouth stuck to their task and looked physically stronger at times, and that is not acceptable".
