Carling Cup Reaction - Cherries

Speaking on the Clubs Official Web Site, manager Kevin Bond is quoted as saying: "I couldn't afford to come here and be gung-ho, but we came out to try and make it difficult for them. We're limited with our options up front so couldn't have been too open, but we perhaps showed them a little too much respect in the first half. I didn't really feel like they gave us too many problems, but, for their goal, we tried to play a really tight ball into one of our front men and got done on the counter attack. In fairness it was a great finish by Beattie but even then we couldn't afford to be ridiculous. We knew we had to try to keep it tight. We changed one or two things the longer the game went on and hoped it would end up being that type of game but we hoped it would be 0-0 at that stage. I thought we took the game to them in the last 20 minutes or so and had a couple of opportunities and they were shouting for the final whistle at the end and we weren't".
