Speaking after the match, Abbott is quoted as saying: "It was a game where we thought we could cause problems for Bournemouth and we did that with an attacking system ....... if I'm going to pat myself on the back, I think it worked. I don't think Bournemouth would have had any qualms about us going in four or five up at half time. To be fair, they had a lot of chances in the second half, but our 'keeper and defence came up trumps".
