Moving to the top of the Championship are Nottingham Forest who maintained their 100% start to the new season with a comfortable 3-0 win over Bolton Wanderers at the City Ground. Goals from Mackie (2nd min), Reid (50th min) and Lansbury (65th min) sealed the points while the sending of Pratley for the visitors didn't help their cause. Nottingham Forest 1st, Bolton Wanderers 19th.

Watford left it late to salvage a point against Reading at the Madjeski Stadium where the Royals gained the upper hand in the opening 45 minutes as Le Fondre (8th min) and Karacan (42nd min) gave the home side the lead at the break. Faraoni reduced the deficit in the 66th minute, only to see Karacan restore the 2-goal cushion just 4 minutes later. A Deeney penalty set up a grand stand finish in the 76th minute, leaving Fabbrini the chance to level scores in the 91st minute. Reading 8th, Watford 2nd.

Blackpool had their 100% started dented at the Riverside as Middlesbrbough left it late to claim a point. Basham gave the Seasiders the lead in the 84th minute, with a late leveller from Emnes in the 94th minute. Middlesbrough 11th, Blackpool 3rd.

Plucky Yeovil Town were undone by two quick goals at Turf Moor as Burnley picked up the points to maintain their undefeated start to the season. Goals from Tracey (74th min) and Vokes (79th min) were enough to elevate the home side in to the play-off places. Burnley 4th, Yeovil Town 18th.

Queens Park Rangers left it late to claim the points against Ipswich Town at Loftus Road as Hitchcock left it to the 90th minite to claim the points. Queens Park Rangers 5th, Ipswich Town 14th.

East Midland bragging rights went to visitors Leicester City at Pride Park as a solitary Grant own goal in the 37th minute against Derby County. Derby County 10th, Leicester City 6th.

AFC Bournemouth managed to edge a single goal win against Wigan Athletic at Dean Court as Grabban bagged the only goal of the game just before half time. The Latics' cause wasn't helped when McManaman saw red in the 59th minute. AFC Bournemouth 7th, Wigan Athletic 13th.

In the lunchtime Yorkshire derby between Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday the points were shared after Zayatte gave the Owls the lead in the 37th minute, with McCormack levelling just before the hour mark. Leeds United 9th, Sheffield Wednesday 21st.

Millwall have the dubious honour of being the only side in the Championship not have a point to their name. Their cause wasn't helped as Huddersfield Town bagged a single goal win at The Den as Vaughan netted the only goal in the 57th minute. Millwall 24th, Huddersfield Town 12th.

Doncaster Rovers got off the mark with a 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at the Keepmoat on Friday evening as Robinson (37th min) and Husband (59th min) made sure that the points remained in Yorkshire. Doncaster Rovers 15th, Blackburn Rovers 22nd.

Brighton & Hove Albion managed to put a poor opening few games behind them with a confidence boosting 1-0 win over Birmingham City at St Andrews as Crofts bagged the only goal of the game in the 73rd minute. Birmingham City 17th, Brighton & Hove Albion 16th.

Finally to Oakwell where Barnsley and Charlton Athletic managed to claim their first point of the season, playing out a 2-2 draw. An O'Grady brace in the 16th and 55th minutes gave the Tykes a 2-goal cushion.
