Leicester City returned to the top after a 1-0 over over play-off hopefuls Reading at the King Power Stadium. The only goal was bagged by Nugent who fired home a 21st minute penalty. Leicester City 1st, Reading 8th.

Burnley uncharacteristically slipped up, at they went down to a solitary 24th minute Ledesma strike at The Riverside to give Middlesbrough the points. Middlesbrough 16th, Burnley 2nd.

Nottingham Forest climbed back in to the play-off places as they managed to see off Queens Park Rangers at the City Ground. Goals from Halford (29th min) and Reid (80th min) managed to seal a massive 3-points to get Forest back on track. Nottingham Forest 5th, Queens Park Rangers 3rd.

Derby County's run of 7 successive wins came to a halt at the John Smiths Stadium as the points were shared with Huddersfield Town. Bryson gave the Rams the lead on the half hour mark, with Paterson salvaging a point for the home side with 4 minutes to spare. Huddersfield Town 14th, Derby County 4th.

The points were shared at Bloomfield Road as Blackpool and Leeds United couldn't find a winner in one the evening kick-offs. Peltier gave United the lead in the 25th minute, with Ince levelling matters in the 65th minute. Blackpool's run of red cards continued as Broadfoot was given a deserved stright red card right at the end of the match. Blackpool 10th, Leeds United 6th.

Ipswich Town proved to be too much for Doncaster Rovers at The Keepmoat as the Suffolk side an away with 3-points with a 3-0 away win. A McGoldrick brace (24th & 51st minutes) plus a strike from Chambers (30th min) sealed the points as the home side hardly mustered a shot on target. Doncaster Rovers 21st, Ipswich Town 7th.

If Brighton & Hove Albion harbour any play-off ambitions, surely they need to be beating sides like Charlton Athletic, who are struggling at the wrong end of the table? Ulloa gave the Seagulls the lead midway through the first half, but this only seemed to wake the home side up as goals from Wilson (32nd & 58th mins) and Kermorgant (75th min) turned the game on its' head. Ulloa had the last laugh though, with a 92nd minute strike whcih wasn't enough to inspire his colleagues to find an equaliser. Charlton Athletic 19th, Brighton & Hove Albion 9th.

Watford managed to stop the rot at Vicarage Road with a comprehensive 4-0 rout of hapless Millwall. The Lions cause wasn't helped when Shittu was sent off in the 9th minute, which resulted in a Deeney penalty, and subsequent goals from Forestieri (26th min), Anya (48th min) and another penalty, this time converted by McGugan on the hour mark. The result saw the Millwall manager dismissed. Watford 12th, Millwall 20th.

AFC Bournemouth recorded their first home win since early October as they saw off Yeovil Town at Dean Court. A Ritchie brace (50th & 57th minutes) was backed up with a strike from O'Kane in the 65th minute to leave the Glovers deep in trouble. AFC Bournemouth 15th, Yeovil Town 23rd.

Barnsley remain deep in trouble at the foot of the table as Bolton Wanderers recorded a single goal win at Oakwell. Danns bagged the only goal of the game in the 64th minute. Barnsley 24th, Bolton Wanderers 17th.

Blackburn Rovers (11th) and Sheffield Wednesday (22nd); Wigan Athletic (13th) and Birmingham City (18th) couldn't muster a goal between them as both games resulted in a 0-0 draw.
