There was a ding-dong battle at the King Power Stadium as Leicester City came back twice from behind to claim a vital three points as they managed to see off Bolton Wanderers in an 8-goal thriller. First blood went to Drinkwater whose 5th minute strike put the Foxes ahead. Two wuick fire goals in the 15th and 20th minutes from Moritz and Beckford game the Trotters the upper hand, only to see Knockhaert level in the 37th minute. That joy soon evaporates as Moritz put Bolton head again just 2 minutes later. City pressed, forcing Mills in to an error, which saw the ball divert past his own keeper as the sides went in level 3-3 at half time. Dyer (75th min) and Taylor-Fletcher (89th min) made sure of the points with two late goals. Leicester City 1st, Bolton Wanderers 18th.

For the first time this season, Derby County climbed in to the automatic promotion places as they managed to edge past Barnsley at Oakwell with a slightly more sedate 2-1 win. A brace from Martin in the 8th and 49th minutes only drew a response from Cywka in the 62nd minute. Barnsley 24th, Derby County 2nd.

Burnley (3rd) and Queens Park Rangers (4th) both missed out on a top-2 place as they both drew 0-0 with Wigan Athletic (14th) and Watford (13th) respectively.

Nottingham Forest maintained their play-off place with a 2-1 win over Leeds United at The City Gound. Halford got Forest off the mark mid-way through the opening 45-minutes. With the game heading for a solitary goal home win, McCormack popped up with an equaliser in the 83rd minute. Any thoughts of a point for Leeds soon evaporated as Derbyshire popped up with the winner a minute later. Nottingham Forest 5th, Leeds United 7th.

Ipswich Town had to settle for a point against AFC Bournemouth at Dean Court. Murphy gave the Tractorboys the lead just before the hour mark with Pitman levelling for the Cherries in the 74th minute. AFC Bournemouth 16th, Ipswich Town 6th.

In a battle of the seaside resorts, Brighton & Hove Albion came out on top against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road. Calderon bagged the only goal of the game in the 38th minute. Blackpool 10th, Brighton & Hove Albion 8th.

Any play-off ambitions Reading harbour were dented slightly by Middlesbrough at The Riverside as the home side completed a comfortable 3-0 win. Goals from Adomah (12th min) and a brace from Leadbitter (36th & 82nd min pen) sealed the points against a Royals side who finished with just 10-men after Gorkss was sent off in the 52nd minute. Middlesbrough 15th, Reading 9th.

Poor Yeovil Town were blown away at the John Smiths Stadium as Huddersfield Town romped to a 5-1 win against the strugglers from Somerset, despite Miller giving the Glovers the lead in the 14th minute. From there though, it was all down hill as Clayton (23rd min), Paterson (40th min), Lynch (43rd min) and a second half brace from Ward (65th & 68th mins) more than sealed the points for the home side. Huddersfield Town 11th, Yeovil Town 23rd.

Blackburn Rovers made a fight of it against Birmingham City at Ewood Park, but the side from the West Midlands managed to hold on to a 3-2 away win. Novak had given the Blues a 2-goal cushion with strikes in the 12th & 18th minutes, with Burke putting the game beyond reach in the 36th minute. The home side hit back though through a Rhodes brace in the 66th and 72nd minute to set up an interesting finish, but a draw wasn't to be as City held on. Blackburn Rovers 12th, Birmingham City 17th.

The final two games both feature sides in the bottom-6 who are beginning to be cut away from the rest of the Championship. Charlton Athletic could only draw 1-1 with Sheffield Wednesday at The Valley as Stephens gave the home side the lead in the 47th minute only to see Wickham level 11 minutes later. Charlton Athletic 19th, Sheffield Wednesday 22nd.

The remaining game saw Doncaster Rovers (21st) draw 0-0 with Millwall (20th) at the Keepmoat.
