Leicester City keep marching on to the Premiership as they managed to chalk up their 9th straight win with a single goal victory over AFC Bournemouth at Dean Court. The Cherries were undone by a hotly contested Phillips headers in the 81st minute as the home players disputed whether the bal had actually crossed the line. TV replays are inconclusive. AFC Bournemouth 15th, Leicester City 1st.

The chasing pack all dropped points as Queens Park Rangers came up against the side tucked in just behind them in the form of Burnley at Loftus Road. Doyle gave the home side the lead in the 7th minute, with goal machine, Ings levelling in the 25th minute. Dunne restored the home sides' advantage only to see Vokes level and put the Clarets ahead with goals in the 54th and 62nd minutes. The points were eventually shared when Maiga bagged an equaliser in the 79th minute. Queens Park Rangers 2nd, Burnley 3rd.

Derby County will be kicking themselves as they dropped points at St Andrews against Birmingham City. Howard gave the Blues the lead in the 48th minute, which prompted an emphatic response from the Rams as they hit back through Bamford (49th min), Martin (59th min) and Forsyth (73rd min). To their credit, City managed to salvage a point through Burke (78th min) and a last gasp equaliser through Macheda in the 95th minute. Birmingham City 18th, Derby County 4th.

Nottingham Forest eventually made light work of Yeovil Town at the City Ground as the Championship strugglers were seen off 3-1. Webster got Forest off the mark when he put past his own keeper in the 16th minute. To their credit, the Glovers levelled through Moore in the 25th minute, but that was as good as it got. Goals from Cox (38th min) and Djebbour (90th min) sealed the win to keep Forest in the hunt for end of season honours, while the Glovers are 6 adrift of safety. Nottingham Forest 5th, Yeovil Town 24th.

The revival seen at Reading gained a bit more momentum as they managed to see Millwall off with a comprehensive 3-0 win at The Den. Goals from Pegrebnyak (39th min), Pearce (71st min) and Williams (75th min) proved to be too much for the Lions. Millwall 21st, Reading 6th.

Ipswich Town are hot on the heels of the play-off places following a 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers at Portman Road. The only goal of the game came courtesy of the penalty spot, when McGoldrick converted the spot kick having initially won the foul in the first place 10 minutes after the break. Ipswich Town 7th, Bolton Wanderers 20th.

Blackburn Rovers managed to see off sorry Blackpool at Ewood Park as the home side claimed a 2-0 win over their near neighbours. Goals from Dunn (20th min) and Hanley (83rd min) sealed victory to keep Rovers in touch with the play off places as the Tangerines slip closer to a relegation battle. Blackburn Rovers 8th, Blackpool 16th.

Watford managed to get back to winning ways with a home win over Brighton & Hove Albion at Vicarage Road. Goals from Anya (13th min) and Forestieri (60th min) sealed the win for the Hornets. Watford 13th, Brighton & Hove Albion 9th.

Wigan Athletic left it late to claim the points against Charlton Athletic at the DW Stadium after Sordell gave the Addicks a 3rd minute lead. Late goals from Fortune (88th min) and Gomez (91st min) managed to turn the game on its' head and break Charlton hearts. Wigan Athletic 10th, Charlton Athletic 22nd.

After an 'interesting' end to the week concering their manager, Leeds United managed to put all the distractions behind them as they managed to see Huddersfield Town off with a decent 5-1 win over their Yorkshire rivals, even through Ward did give the Terriers a 25th minute lead. The home side hit back through McCormack on the stroke of half time, which was followed with goals from Kebe (50th min), McCormack completed his hat trick in the 62nd and 73rd minutes, leaving Mowatt the task to finish things off in the 82nd minute. Leeds United 11th, Huddersfield Town 14th.

A fiesty Yorkshire affair was played out at Hillsborough as Sheffield Wednesday took on Barnsley, which the home side managed to sneak victory with a 97th minute winner through Maguire. Some rash challenges saw Barnsley reduced to 9-men and Wednesday reduced to 10. Sheffield Wednesday 17th, Barnsley 23rd.

The match between Doncaster Rovers (19th) and Middlesbrough (12th), at the Keepmoat, finished 0-0.
