Leicester City continue their march towards the Premiership with a 3-0 win over Ipswich Town at the King Power Stadium. Goals from Vardy (19th min), Nugent (31st min) and Wood (88th min) sealed another win to keep the lead at the top at a healthy 8-points. Leicester City 1st, Ipswich Town 10th.

After their recent wobble, Burnley seem to be back on track again following an important 3-1 win over play-off chasing Nottingham Forest at Turf Moor. Strikes from Arfield (12th min) and a brace from Vokes (25th and 35th mins) put the game pretty much beyond doubt, with Adboun bagging a consolation in the 80th minute for Forest. Burnley 2nd, Nottingham Forest 5th.

Derby County managed to secure a narrow victory over AFC Bournemouth at the iPro Stadium as a Martin free kick in the 85th minute sealed victory. Derby County 3rd, AFC Bournemouth 17th.

Queens Park Rangers suffered an unlikely and poor defeat while handing Charlton Athletic an equally unlikely victory at The Valley. A Jackson 92nd minute winner for the Addicks sealed 3 massive points for the home side in their bid to avoid the drop. Charlton Athletic 22nd, Queens Park Rangers 4th.

If Reading want to secure a spot in the play-offs, they'll have to do better than to loose at home to a side breathing down their necks for a play-off spot - in this instance Blackburn Rovers. A solitary Conway goal in the 36th minute was enough to seal victory for Rovers at the Madj Stad. Reading 6th, Blackburn Rovers 9th.

Hot on the heels of those in the 4-play off places are Wigan Athletic who have come out from mid table to be within a point of a play-off spot, their cause helped with a 2-1 win over rivals Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex. McArthur gave the Latics the lead in the 21st minute, with McCann doubling the advantage in the 50th minute. Ulloa grabbed one back for the Seagulls in the 78th minute, but it wasn't enough to inspire a comeback to rescue a point. Brighton & Hove Albion 8th, Wigan Athletic 7th.

Bolton Wanderers gave themselves some breathing space at the foot of the table with a decent 2-0 win over Watford at The Reebok. Goals from Jutkiewicz (35th min) and Mason (45th min) sealed victory to lift the Trotters 6-points clear of the drop zone. Bolton Wanderers 19th, Watford 12th.

Local Yorkshire bragging rights went the way of Sheffield Wednesday over Huddersfield Town at the John Smiths Stadium as Helan (40th min) and Maghoma (72nd min) bagged the goals for the Owls. Huddersfield Town 14th, Sheffield Wednesday 15th.

Despite going behind at Bloomfield Road to a Keogh goal for Blackpool in the 22nd minute, a Novak brace for Birmingham City in the 63rd and 82nd minutes sealed victory for the visitors to leave Blackpool in trouble. Blackpool 18th, Birmingham City 16th.

Can Yeovil Town beat the drop? Well if they are wins over their rivals at the foot of the table, like Doncaster Rovers can only help their cause as they fight for survival. A solitary Hayter goal (59th min penalty) sealed victory and 3 crucial points for the Glovers. Yeovil Town 24th, Doncaster Rovers 20th.

Making it a good day for the bottom-3 were Barnsley who managed to secure a massive win over relegation rivals Millwall at Oakwell. A solitary goal from O'Brien in the 4th minute proved to be enough for the Tykes. Barnsley 23rd, Millwall 21st.

The only other match played saw Middlesbrough (13th) draw 0-0 with Leeds United (11th) at the Riverside.
