Burnley had to settle for a point in their match at St Andrews against Birmingham City as the Blues came back to secure a 3-3 draw. Marney gave the Clarets the lead with a 30th minute goal, which was cancelled out by Macheda in the 64th minute. Fuff restored the advantage 3 minutes later only to see Huws level 2 minutes after that! Vokes seemed to have sealed it with an 86th minute strike only to see Macheda level in the 94th minute. Birmingham City 19th, Burnley 2nd.

Wigan Athletic are edging closer to a play-off place again, and are only outside the top-6 on goal difference following a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at the DW Stadium. A late Gomez penalty in the 88th minute sealed victory to keep the Latics on course for a top-6 placing, with games in hand. Wigan Athletic 7th, Sheffield Wednesday 17th.

The boos were ringing out around Ewood Park as Blackburn Rovers slipped to their third consecutive defeat, while AFC Bournemouth recorded their third consecutive win! Grabban scored the only goal of the game in the 67th minute to create a little bit of Cherries history in the second tier. Blackburn Rovers 10th, AFC Bournemouth 12th.

The only other game played saw Charlton Athletic (24th) draw 0-0 with Huddersfield Town (14th) at The Valley, which leaves the Addicks rooted to the foot of the table.
