Derby County remain top of the table following a 2-1 win over play-off chasing Watford at Vicarage Road. Ibe got the Rams off the mark in the 39th minute, before Munari levelled mid way through the second period. Bryson bagged the winner with 9 minutes to spare. Watford 7th, Derby County 1st.

AFC Bournemouth remain second after they were held 2-2 by Ipswich Town at Dean Court. Kermorgant gave the Cherries the lead in the 2nd minute, but were pegged back when Bishop levelled in the 50th minute. Ritchie restored the Cherries lead in the 54th minute only to see Murphy level for a share of the spoils in the 76th minute. AFC Bournemouth 2nd, Ipswich Town 4th.

Much of the media were focussed on the DW Stadium as new manager, Malky Mackie took charge of Wigan Athletic for the first time, as they came up against Middlesbrough. Maloney gave the home side the lead in the 24th minute only for Bamford to level in the 58th minute. Wigan Athletic 23rd, Middlesbrough 3rd.

The remarkable season Brentford are having continues as they managed to see local rivals Fulham off at Griffin Park as the Bees ran out 2-1 winners despite Rodallega giving the Cottagers the lead in the 57th minute. The points were claimed when Dean (81st min) and Ramallo (91st min) bagged the all important goals. Brentford 5th, Fulham 17th.

Blackburn Rovers were made to work for their win against Leeds United at Ewood Park after Doukara gave United the lead in the 33rd minute. A Rhodes brace in the 71st and 88th mins bagged the points for the home side. Blackburn Rovers 6th, Leeds United 16th.

Nottingham Forest managed to arrest a dismal run of form with a decent 3-0 win over Wolves at Molineux. Goals from Assombalonga (65th min), Fryatt (68th min) and Lansbury (83rd min) give Forest hope of the play-offs, while Wolves slipped in to mid-table nothing-ness. Wolves 11th, Nottingham Forest 8th.

Norwich City and Brighton & Hove Albion battled their way to a 3-3 draw at Carrow Road. Despite 6-goals, the first didn't come until Bruno opened the scoring in the 33rd minutem, which was cancelled out by Howson 5 minutes later. Martin turn the game on its' head when the Canaries went in front in the 49th minute. Lua Lua and a Colunga penalty (66th and 77th min) swung the game back in Brighton's favour before Hooper ensured a share of the spoils in the 85th minute. Norwich City 10th, Brighton & Hove Albion 20th.

An M4-'derby' took place in South Wales as Cardiff City took on Reading, with the home side winning out 2-1 on Friday evening. A Pearce own goal in the 20th minute helped the home side before the same player saw red just before half time for an incident which lead to Whittingham bagging a penalty. Hector netted a consolation for the home side in the 81st minute. Cardiff City 12th, Reading 15th.

Birmingham City managed to hoist themselves out of the drop zone with a decent 1-0 win over Rotherham United at the New York Stadium. Donaldson scored the only goal of the game in the 62nd minute. Rotherham United 22nd, Birmingham City 19th.

Blackpool and Bolton Wanderers had to settle for a share of the points at Bloomfield Road as the strugglers played out a 1-1 draw. Murphy gave the home side the lead in the 75th minute, only for Chung-Yung to level in the 82nd minute. Blackpool 24th, Bolton Wanderers 21st.

Huddersfield Town (14th) and Sheffield Wednesday (13th) managed to produce 30 shots between them and generate a 0-0 draw at the John Smiths Stadiium. The same scoreline was the result at The Valley between near neighbours Charlton Athletic (9th) and Millwall (18th).
