The lead changed at the top of the table as the AFC Bournemouth took charge after they recorded their 6th consecutive win with a 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough. Goals from Surman (65th min) and Fraser (69th min) sealed a memorable night for the Cherries. Sheffield Wednesday 14th, AFC Bournemouth 1st.

Middlesbrough climbed in to the automatic places with a fine 4-0 win over Norwich City at The Riverside. Goals from Bamford (5th min), Leadbitter (33rd min pen & 69th min) and Wildschut (85th min) sealed victory tpo go 2nd. Middlesbrough 2nd, Norwich City 7th.

Has the tide finally turned for Birmingham City? It might have just that following a 2-1 win over Watford at St Andrews. A brace from Donaldson (2nd and 85th mins) only brought a response from Foresteri in the 7th min. Birmingham City 22nd, Watford 3rd.

Derby County kept the pressure up at the top with a 3-2 win over Huddersfield Town at the iPro Stadium. Ibe got the Rams off the mark in the 7th minute only to see Bunn level scores in the 22nd minute. Russell put the Rams back ahead on the stroke of half time. Dawkins put some day light between the two with a 77th minute strike, which left Hudson the delight of a 94th minute consolation. Derby County 4th, Huddersfield Town 15th.

Ipswich Town managed to edge past Wolves at Portman Road with a 2-1 win. A Murphy brace in the 35th and 59th minutes only drew a response from Henry in the 53rd minute. Ipswich Town 5th, Wolves 6th.

Blackburn Rovers had to make do with a 2-2 draw at The Den against Millwall. Goals from Duffy (37th min) and Gestede (65th min) were cancelled out when Martin (72nd min) and Williams (88th min) managed to salvage a share of the points. Millwall 16th, Blackburn Rovers 8th.

They might have been early pace setters, but Nottingham Forest now find themselves in mid table following a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Brentford. Goals from Toral (17th min), Gray (35th min) and a penalty from Pritchard (48th min) set the Bees up nicely before Antonio bagged a consolation in the 82nd min for the home side. Nottingham Forest 11th, Brentford 9th.

A brace of braces was the order the evening at Elland Road as Leeds United drew 2-2 with Charlton Athletic. Mowatt's brace for the home side came in the 49th and 67th mins, while Gudmindsson's brace for the visitors came in the 62nd and 81st mins. Leeds United 17th, Charlton Athletic 10th.

Cardiff City were soundly beaten by Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium as goals from Feeney (9th & 36th mins) and Mills (76th min) proved to be more than enough. Bolton Wanderers 23rd, Cardiff City 12th.

Reading also managed to win by 3-0 in their enoungter with Rotherham United at the Madj Stad. Goals from Mackie (29th min) and Cox (55th and 64th mins) proved to be enough. Reading 13th, Rotherham United 18th.

Brighton & Hove Albion managed to win their first game in 13 attempts with a 1-0 over Wigan Athletic at the Amex. Gardeners 1st minute goal proved to be more than enough. Brighton & Hove Albion 20th, Wigan Athletic 19th.

Blackpool were denied a rare win by Fulham at Craven Cottage even though Miller (2nd min) and Murphy (26th min) gave the strugglers a 2-goal lead. Parker pulled one back just before the break with Ruiz levelling with 12 minutes to spare. Fulham 21st, Blackpool 24th.
