Manager Eddie Howe was quoted after the match on BBC Radio Solent as saying: "It was so late in the game, and it gave us no chance to reply. I thought it was going to peter out into a 0-0. They were tough conditions tonight, as it was obviously a really poor playing surface. I felt we started the game really well and for the first 20, 25 minutes we were excellent. But then we lost our foothold in the game and we lost our control and the second half was very scrappy. I felt second half we gave away too many free kicks, and we invited too many balls into our box. With every set piece your forward players and your midfield players end up deeper and that was why we struggled to get any rhythm going in the second half, and ultimately we paid the price for all those dead balls conceded and conceding the corner. We do what we always do. We work hard and see what we can do to improve it. Obviously Yann coming back which was a big boost for us today, he’s had no real football so it will be interesting to see where he is football-wise and then we will take it from there".
