Cheltenham Town Reaction

Speaking after the match, manager Sean O'Driscoll was quoted as saying: "We played some excellent football, dug in and showed our character in a difficult situation. Cheltenham had to gamble and put four men forward, and we had to battle but we deserved the win through the commitment and attitude we showed. Although everyone got a bit edgy towards the end, they did their jobs".

For Cheltenham Town, their manager, John Ward, said after the defeat: "Bournemouth played pretty well and showed us what this level is about. They played sharp and bright football and we had to hang in there. Our crossing was good, but people were not in the right places at the right times, and there is no excuse for that. We kept going, but over the 90 minutes it would have been perhaps a tough game for us to pinch a point from".
