As AFC Bournemouth continue their climb up League One, Shaun MacDonald has come out as saying that the way in which the Cherries are currently playing is just like his beloved Swans.
Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, MacDonald is quoted as saying: "One of the reasons I came here was because of Bournemouth’s reputation as a good footballing team. We play the right way, like Swansea. I wanted to go somewhere where they like to pass the ball. Swansea have achieved so much in such a short space of time and you can see similarities between the two clubs. We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves though. We need to take it one game at a time and see where it takes us. All the players the manager has brought in are top lads and we are getting to know one another. I think that is starting to show in our performances. We are going into every game believing we can win and have just got to stay positive. These are exciting times for the club and I believe we have got enough to make the play-offs. Hopefully, we can have a good season. If we could be successful and get promotion then we would have to think about next season".
