Cherries Bailed Out By PFA

It is being reported that AFC Bournemouth have gone to the PFA to help pay an outstanding amount of the wages not paid last month, and to help out with the wages to pay the players this month - pay day is this coming Friday.

Should the players not be paid, they could invoke a 14-day period of notice, allowing each of them to walk away from Dean Court on a free transfer.

An un named player is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "This is not a course of action we want to take but we're just like everybody else and need money to live. Hopefully, everything will be sorted out soon".

This is on top of an outstanding Winding Up petition in the Liverpool Combined Court, brought by PCA Events Ltd (for £10k), which has been added to with the HMRC adding it's name to the petition.
