It is being reported that a further bid for Matty Tubbs, currently at Crawley Town, has been rejected by the Sussex side. Meanwhile it is also being reported that Club have been in talks with Brighton & Hove Albion, with Seagulls striker Will Hoskins being linked to a move to Dorset.

Chairman, Eddie Mitchell is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo a saying on the attempt to sign Tubbs for £500,000: "We did submit an offer around that figure and, all of a sudden, it went up. They told us various figures and we matched them. Then, we were told it had gone up, which was a big figure, and we decided to close the door on it".

The Cherries have also been linked with Cody MacDonald (Coventry City), Stuart Beavon (Wycombe Wanderers) and Anthony Wordsworth (Colchester United).
